Can you tell me what the best plaster is to buy to skim the walls of my 1910 property?

If you are just tidying the walls prior to painting then Thistle Multi Finish is good.

If you are wanting to restore authentically and true to the period or to ensure breathe-ability then Lime would be needed. However lime is not for the faint hearted - so if the main reason is to tidy up, and the house is not listed, then you can't beat Thistle Multi Finish. Make sure you PVA the wall first though!
