troweling problem

Hi paul, I seem to be having trouble when it comes to final trowel. I get the wall hole free and all lines out let it firm up so its pretty much rock hard about just before it goes brown, then apply a little water and small hollows will start to appear its as if water is trying to push out from somewhere in the plaster. Could this be that I'm going onto the wall to early or to late?

Hi Dave,
You may be trying to do too much too late. If you have already managed to fill all holes and get all trowel marks then all that is left to do is get an even finish. I would try two things firstly try it a little earlier and secondly try with little or no water, as it could be overly wet and almost peeling away under the pressure.
