wavy finish

When attempting to skim on plasterboard it seems to dry with waves in, as though the water has got through to the paper and caused it ripple. Frankly, I can't see why this doesn't happen generally anyway as that's what happens when you wet paper.

Ceiling issues

Walls fine not a problem. Sight a spine operation I can't seem to flatten off ceilings anymore. I get highs and lows that show when painted. Everything seems fine when plastering. I'm at a loss as to why this keeps happening.

Plasterboard

This shouldn't happen - unless the plasterboard is damaged or the wrong way round. Make sure you're applying plaster to the white side and all should be okay.
