Bobbles

Hi I am getting small bobbles in the plaster that I can't get rid of when troweling

Answer
They're air bubbles and the more you play around with the plaster when it has a fluidity - the worse they can become.

How to resolve
This is simple - it's just a waiting game

..you must wait until the plaster has firmed up enough - so that when you trowel up - the plaster tears and the air can escape. But more importantly the plaster is still pliable enough to push back into the small hole and smooth over.

The general rule is flatten and smooth as much as you need to to get the plaster flat, but then leave a while to get the blemishes and any bubbles out.
If you ever creating problems as you trowel - then the chances are you are moving forward to quickly and you need to let the plaster firm up a bit.
